Scrubbing My Life Clean

Refocusing, Faith, and a New Chapter of My Rewired Journey

Over the past few months, I’ve been spending a lot of intentional time with God—quieting the noise, getting still, and asking Him what He wants me to focus on in this next season of my life. What has become abundantly clear is that He’s calling me to share more of how His presence in my life has transformed me from the inside out.

This hasn’t been about religion or rules—it’s been about relationship. The more I’ve leaned into His presence, the more I’ve felt Him gently leading me through some serious scrubbing of my life—my habits, my routines, my distractions, and even the subtle ways I was still holding on to control. I’ve realized that this process of surrender is not just spiritual cleansing—it’s rewiring at the deepest level.

Day 22 of My 40-Day Sugar Fast

Right now, I’m on day 22 of a 40-day sugar fast. It’s not just about food—it’s about clarity. Every time I say no to sugar, I’m saying yes to discipline, to awareness, and to hearing God’s voice more clearly. I’m noticing how much our physical habits are tied to our emotional and spiritual health. Fasting has a way of revealing where our comfort comes from—and reminding us that true satisfaction can’t come from what’s on our plates, but from the One who provides it.

A New Physical and Spiritual Challenge

Alongside this spiritual reset, I’ve just started a 24-week Couch to Half Marathon training plan. My first half marathon will be in April 2026, and I’m inviting you to come along with me on this journey. This is more than a fitness goal—it’s about building endurance, consistency, and the discipline to finish what I start. I want to show what’s possible when we stop letting trauma, fatigue, or “busy” become our excuses.

Tracking, Training, and Total Wellness

I’ve also been setting new wellness goals that will carry me through the rest of this year and into 2026. I’m focusing on measurable, sustainable change—tracking things like:

  • My Lingo score
  • Average blood glucose levels (BGL)
  • Resting heart rate
  • Heart rate variability (HRV)
  • Sleep quality (REM, Deep, and Light sleep)
  • Daily fasting routines, including one full-day fast a week and occasional extended fasts (2–7 days)

As I go, I’ll be sharing updates, lab results, and how I’m holistically working to bring my numbers into balance through nutrition, movement, mindset, and faith. This is not about perfection—it’s about progress and stewardship of the one body God has given me.

Balancing It All

I know what you might be thinking: “I don’t have time for that.”
I hear that from people all the time—especially when they see the way I live or the level of intention I bring to my health. But here’s the truth: I have a full, messy, beautiful life too.

I’m a full-time paramedic, an EMS educator, a speaker and trainer, a student working toward holistic wellness provider certification, and I manage six doodles, thirty-three chickens, and a one-acre growing homestead. Most of what I’ve learned, I’ve researched and taught myself because I knew there had to be a better way to live.

We all get the same 24 hours in a day. The difference is in what we prioritize.
Every “yes” I give now, I weigh carefully—because my choices today affect not just my tomorrow, but the people I love, my community, and even the healthcare systems I work within.

Building for the Future

For me, being a good mother isn’t just about how I show up today—it’s about how I’m preparing myself for the woman I’ll be 10, 20, and 30 years from now. It’s about living in a way that leaves a legacy of health, hope, and faith for my daughters and for the generations that follow.

This next chapter is about alignment—body, mind, and spirit—and about letting God lead every step of the way. I’m excited to take you with me as I continue to build a life rooted in hope, joy, and wellness.

It’s time to break free from the systems that keep us in chaos and step boldly into the life we were created for.
